My top 5 reasons why you should try Menopause Yoga :
Connect with your body inner wisdom, at a time when you have a hard time recognising your body.
Slow down to re-acquaint yourself with your innate wholeness.
Bring down the flight & fight response. The level of cortisol (stress hormone) is typically higher during the peri/menopause. Restoring the nervous system to baseline allows you to embrace this stage with more acceptance and self-compassion.
Rekindle a feeling of spaciousness and ease in your body when you might feel stuck and suffer from painful joints.
Dedicate time to yourself. For most of your womanhood, you may have deprived yourself from basic self-care while caring for others (partner, aging parents, children, or your boss). 75min of self-care a week is not a luxury, it’s survival!
£60/person for a block of 5 classes
£16/class if you prefer the freedom of drop-in.
*Once purchased block classes are non-refundable. If you’re unable to use your classes you have the option to transfer them to a person of your choice.
What to expect:
Each class is 75min long, designed around a theme relevant to the menopause that will be weaved through yoga poses, breathing practices and meditation. Each session will also include restorative yoga poses which facilitates greater awareness, acceptance of what is and joy. The group is kept small to allow for more individual attention. The classes are designed for women at any stage of the menopause, generally women who attend are in peri-menopause or early menopause. The yoga practice is accessible to both beginners and seasoned yoga practitioners, it requires to be able to come down and up from the floor. I aim at creating a non-judgmental, friendly and inclusive atmosphere so everyone feels welcome and free to practice based on their own abilities, no expectations !
Menopause Yoga is specifically adapted for women in peri-menopause, menopause and post menopause. It fuses modern medical science with eastern wellbeing practices to support women on their journey towards their second spring.
Menopause can be an opportunity for health, empowerment and self-knowledge. The yoga asana (postures), pranayama (breathing practices) and meditation help provide relief from menopause symptoms, calm the mind, find ease in the body and build bone and muscles strength. The workshops and classes also offer a safe and supportive space for women to come together and share about their experience and exchange tips.
There are many ways in which you can support your menopause transition including adapting your lifestyle to your changing needs, a healthier diet, more rest, natural therapies, cultivating nurturing human connections and getting the help you need with medical support or counselling.
